Open call at CINETic center
CINETic residencies move to online collaborations!
CINETic Centre opens for online collaborations with artists working with interactive technologies. For a period of 50 days you will develop an online artwork as part of a collaborative process with six CINETic artists, researchers and technical staff. Resulting works will be hosted online and subject to festivals coverage.
We look forward to submissions from artists and technical practitioners with experience in art-technology collaborations. We welcome experts from various fields of expertise from performing arts, musicians, designers, developers with technical skills and interest in developing transdisciplinary work for the challenging times of COVID-19.
The CINETic team is interested in working with machine learning and generative tools, human and object telepresence and mixed reality solutions.
Selected artists will collaborate with four researchers from CINETic, developing a project over an online process over a period of 50 days.
Each selected artist in residence will be awarded a 1000 Euro fee (5000 RON in Romanian currency) and will have access to a 1000 Euro production budget for the production of the developed work.
Submissions will be sent to cinetic@unatc.ro and will consist of:
- CV stating experience and previous works with links to relevant work (max. 1 page)
- Letter of intent stating a proposal for the project to be developed with a timeline and needed materials/expertise for the submitted project.
Four applicants will be selected based on their experience, project proposal and domain expertise. We encourage collaborative projects but we do not exclude projects developed by individual applicants.
Submission Deadline: 1st of July 2020.
The results will be communicated on the 5th of July.
Online collaborations are expected to start around July 15th 2020 and work should be completed in early September.
Residents are encouraged to submit communication for the upcoming conference at CINETic centre themed Games Education and Digital Tools and/or to the current call of the CINETic Review, themed Adaptive Storytelling.
The CINETic Residencies program is organized by CINETic, UNATC „I. L. Caragiale”, and it is co-financed by AFCN.
